In 1981, I graduated from McMaster University, receiving degree in Engineering Physics.
For the next 14 years, I worked with Texas Instruments, Philips Semiconductor, and Teck Trek co-ordinating engineering sales with Nortel Networks.
I cut my teeth in the financial business at Nesbitt Burns, starting in 1995. There I garnered certificates in CSC (Canadian Securities Course), CIM (Certified Investment Management), Options Trading (very rare) and Life and Health Insurance Licenses.
In 1999, I moved to Manulife Securities as an Independent agent and learned more about the benefits of using Life Insurance in wealth management and family protection.
I passed the Certified Financial Planning exam in 2001. This is a demanding program that ensures a level of competence that should be expected by all those who invest their hard earned money.
In 2003 I moved my licenses to a boutique dealer, Interglobe Financial / MGA Partners Inc. They provide regulatory oversight and back office support.
Today and Going Forward
I continue to participate in conferences all over North America and enjoy the challenge of adding value to my clients’ lives.
I like to spend time exercising both my body and my mind.
